STUDENT INTERVIEW: BRIEF BACKGROUND OF THE STUDENT
OJO, Ajibola Inioluwa participated in examinations by Cambridge Assessment International Education as delivered by the British Council during the last school year (August 2017 – July 2018) and  achieved an outstanding score in Mathematics Syllabus D. Top in Country in Cambridge O’level, November 2017 Series,
He was born on 31st July, 2003 to the family of Pastor (Dr.) and Dr. (Mrs) Olalekan Ojo. He is the first child in a family of three children. He had his primary school education in Ile- Ife, Osun State, and a year stint at a secondary school in Ibadan, Oyo state before proceeding to Destiny International College, Osogbo.  He is currently a 200 level student of Computer Science, LandMark University, Omu Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria.
In his own words,
“The genius in me was unearthed at Destiny International College.
I am particularly grateful for the commitment of my educators who gave individualized and I would say customized attention to each learner. Sometimes I wonder who, between my educators and I, is preparing for examinations.
The love and sacrifice of my parents is extremely appreciated. I pray that they would eat the fruit of their labour.
This award means so much to me in every sense. It shows me that submission to the leadership of the Holy Spirit coupled with hard work pays off.
Also, that the trust that the founders of Destiny International College, Rev. Olusola & Rev. (Mrs) Oyenike Areogun, have in me is not misplaced.
I believe there are greater achievements to strive for and higher goals to set to achieve better results”.
HEAD TEACHER / PRINCIPALS INTERVIEW:
• Why did the school opt for the Cambridge exam?
The vision of the founders of Destiny International College is to build world-class leaders who are with universal relevance. In pursuing  that vision, the school decided that learners would be exposed to international curricula and exams to train them to be able to fit in and excel anywhere in the world.
• How is the school best positioned to support their students to achieve more using the Cambridge education?
We are currently working on affiliations with some Cambridge education group partner universities in the UK, the USA and Canada and we are hoping that arrangements will be concluded within the next one year. We believe this will afford our present and prospective learners greater opportunities for further education in colleges in these countries.
• How does Cambridge curriculum differ from the Nigerian education and how does it position the students to achieve more in the future?
The Cambridge education system is designed to meet the needs of all learners, stretching brighter children and supporting those who need it through differentiated teaching and learning activities. Learners are taught to learn by questioning, problem-solving and creative thinking rather than by mere retention of facts, hence giving them analytical and creative thinking skills that they will need in the world of work. Currently the Nigerian curriculum is still largely focused on retention and recall of facts which does not necessarily prepare learners adequately for the working world. Hence, at DIC we have blended both curriculums and while our students have all excelled at the Nigerian WAEC and NECO SSCE, we prioritize Cambridge in assessing their mastery of the subject for real-world application.
 BRIEF BACKGROUND OF THE SCHOOL
A brief history of the school
The vision of Destiny International College Destiny was conceived by our founders, Rev. & Rev. (Mrs) Olusola Areogun, as an answer to worries of parents about children’s exposure to social vices in tertiary institutions or having quality education at the expense of spiritual growth.

Established in September 2013 and located at Km. 4, Gbongan- osogbo, Express-way, Osogbo.
