DIC operates a multinational curriculum, comprising of the Nigerian, British and American secondary school curricula. Our learners sit for all the summative examinations in all of these curricula with consistently outstanding results since our inception
European Language Proficiencies
Here at DIC, we offer a wide gamut of European languages namely French, Spanish and German and of course English Language. Being the most widely spoken languages in Europe and the world at large, our learners are thoroughly trained to native- speaker proficiency levels in these languages. They also sit for the specific proficiency examinations in each of these languages with consistently high quality performances every year.
Compressed Curriculum
Destiny International College believes in over-preparing learners for all external examinations. To achieve this, Our Chairman and CEO promulgated our distinct policy of ensuring learners are thoroughly trained and ready to sit for the final, summative examinations in their penultimate year, as opposed to the third year.
To achieve this feat, we have developed a purpose-built compressed curriculum that paces our learners to be fully ready for their finals before they resume in the last class, at junior and senior school levels.
Robust Entrepreneurship and Vocational Training
In keeping at par with the rapidly-evolving national and international economic climate, we have a standard entrepreneurship and vocational training program for all learners. This includes entrepreneurship trade subjects like Animal Husbandry, Catering Craft Practice, Data Processing etc, on the one hand.
To further complement this, we also offer a vocational skills acquisition program where all learners are taught various skills ranging from graphic design, basic computer programming and coding to hat making, tie and dye, photography and videography. This program is aimed at ensuring that as they are equipped academically, they are also taught self-sufficiency skills.
Professional Musical Training and Certifications
At DIC we have a standard certified music training program for all learners. We are an official testing centre for the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) Centre’s Graded Examinations. A large number of our learners already hold certificates of proficiency in various specialties ranging from Piano to the Saxophone and Music Theory.
Small, individualised classroom policy
We operate a small classroom policy of not more than 15 learners per classroom. This deliberate policy is to ensure that every learner enjoys focused, individual attention from educators. It also serves to foster stronger intra-class collaboration and team building among learners.
Anointed Apostolic and Prophetic Ministrations
All DIC learners are exposed to regular, personalised ministrations by our Chairman, Reverend Olusola Areogun and our CEO, Reverend Oyenike Areogun including laying on of hands, one-on one counselling and ministrations.
Strong Pastoral oversight
In addition to regular Ministrations from our Chairman and CEO, our learners enjoy strong pastoral oversight from the school Chaplaincy composed of called, anointed and thoroughbred Pastors who take time to minister to the learners’ spiritual needs on a daily and weekly basis.
